People living with HIV\/AIDS (PLWHA) often see their human rights violated because of the stigma and discrimination associated with disease and health system barriers that include, for example, uncaring care and lack of confidentiality and privacy. These violations impede HIV prevention, diagnosis and treatment and undermine people’s trust in the health system. This booklet on the Rights of People Living with HIV is a contribution to the promotion and dissemination of the rights and duties of people living with HIV, as well as common violations at the community, workplace, health facility, and complaint mechanisms.<\/p>\n
