In the spring of 2013, Duah faced a\u00a0serious challenge: Clan elders agreed to a large\u00a0land deal with a local palm oil investor without\u00a0the involvement of the community or its new\u00a0Land Governance Council. This Lesson from\u00a0the Field describes how, with support from SDI,\u00a0Duah community members held their leaders\u00a0accountable to their newly adopted community\u00a0by-laws and successfully reversed the land\u00a0deal.
